A Waitlist Invitation Problem Workflow
Published September 4, 2026.
A customer who waited for access may be especially frustrated by a missing or expired invitation. Support can investigate the event without changing queue priority or promising unavailable inventory.
Reconstruct the invitation
Verify the customer, waitlist entry, eligible product or event, invitation timestamp, delivery address, expiry rule, redemption attempt, and current availability. Check suppression and bounce records through approved tools.
Never reveal another customer's position or infer that a screenshot proves ownership. If the invitation was sent to an inaccessible address, follow the documented identity and account recovery path.
State the available outcome
Tell the customer whether the invitation is active, expired, redeemed, or under review. Explain any authorized resend or re-entry option and its effect on priority. If inventory is not reserved, say so plainly.
Track delivery failures, time-zone confusion, inaccessible redemption pages, duplicate invitations, and contacts after resolution. Review should distinguish a communication defect from genuine scarcity so the right owner fixes it.
